Category: Tips & Care
Learn how long LAMZU Thorn and MINI dustproof seals typically last and when to replace them for optimal mouse protection.
Quick answer
LAMZU dustproof seals typically last 6-12 months depending on use, but you should replace them when you notice visible wear, loss of adhesion, or reduced dust protection.
Why replace a dustproof seal?
A dustproof seal protects your mouse's internal components from dust, debris, and wear. Over time, the adhesive weakens and the material can crack, reducing effectiveness. Replacing it ensures continued protection and extends your mouse's lifespan.
Frequently asked questions
- How long does a LAMZU dustproof seal last?
- With normal daily use, a LAMZU Thorn or MINI dustproof seal lasts about 6 to 12 months. Factors like humidity, temperature, and how often you remove the seal can shorten its life. Check the seal every few months for signs of wear.
- What are signs that I need to replace the seal?
- Look for peeling edges, cracks, discoloration, or if the seal no longer sticks firmly. If dust accumulates under the seal or it lifts during use, it's time for a replacement. Replace immediately if you see dust inside the mouse.
- How do I replace a LAMZU dustproof seal?
- Remove the old seal carefully, clean the surface with a mild alcohol wipe, let it dry, then apply the new seal. The LAMZU MINI Dustproof Seal comes with two pieces, so you have a backup ready. Keep the spare seal in a cool, dry place.
